Doubles supremo Raven Klaasen will be making his third appearance at the Nitto ATP Finals in London from November 11 to 18.
The South African tennis ace and his New Zealand partner was the final team to qualify for the year-end tournament in their
Klaasen will be hoping to go one better than his 2016 debut when he and American Rajeev Ram lost to Finland’s Henri Kontinen and Australia’s John Peers 2-6, 6-1, 10-8 in the final.
The South African-Kiwi combination has enjoyed a superb first season together reaching the Wimbledon final in the doubles division earlier this year.
The duo ultimately went down to Mike Bryan and Jock Sock of the United States, who earned a 6-3 6-7 6-3 5-7 7-5 seesaw victory.
They won the Open 13 Provence title in Marseille where they defeated the Kiwi-British combo of Marcus Daniell Dominic Inglot while they finished runners-up at four other tournaments.
The ATP Finals features only the world’s best eight qualified singles players and doubles teams.
South Africa’s top singles player Kevin Anderson remains a strong contender for the year-end Nitto ATP Finals sitting at number-seven on the race to London.
